In 2006 Warwickshire were represented by Bidford-on-Avon in the national Calor Village of the Year Competition.   Bidford-on-Avon were awarded the prize for Information Communication and Technology in Central England. 

In 2007 there were 5 entries for the Village of the Year Competition sponsored by Calor: Hampton Lucy, Great Alne, Radway, Wolvey and Maxstoke.

Hampton Lucy is Warwickshire's Village of the Year 2007.  They hosted the AGM of the Warwickshire Rural Community Council and the awards of the Village Ventures and Village of the Year competitions 2007. 

Hampton Lucy will go forward to represent the County in the national Calor Village of the Year Competition.
