Lynne, one of our project volunteers, has used Photoshop to improve a portrait photograph of the late Fred Howell. I visited Pat at home last week for a very enjoyable chat and left a copy of the image with Lynne on the same day. It's an unusual photo, probably taken in about 1940 by Fred's uncle who was a professional photographer.

Fred and Pat later farmed at Holt Villas at Curdworth.

I spoke to a local builder to explain the process of building affordable housing schemes for local people.
I discussed progress on 2 potential sites for affordable housing in Welford with the Housing Association.
I was in contact with Burton Dassett Parish Council about the process of undertaking a Housing Needs Survey.
I wrote to Gaydon Parish Council advising it of the possible availability of a site for affordable housing and encouraging a new Housing Needs Survey.

I wrote to the owner of a potential development site in Shilton Parish to enquire about the possible sale of the land for affordable housing.
The owner of a possible development site in Brandon expressed interest in selling part of the land for affordable housing.

Cinefilm

Delighted to have been contacted by Michael and Barbara Hague about cinefilm taken in 1959 and 1960 on their farm at Millburn Grange near Kenilworth. It's a little bit outside the area for the project, but will be fascinating to see.

I met Middleton Parish Council to discuss the outcome of the recent Public Consultation Event.
I will now investigate 7 potential development sites with the landowners, North Warwickshire BC Planners and Warwickshire CC Highways.

I met North Warwickshire BC staff to discuss a potential development site in Warton.
I received draft site layout drawings of a potential development site in Ansley and arranged to attend a Parish Council meeting.

In North Warwickshire …

Having been approached by the owners of potential development site in Piccadilly, I wrote to Kingsbury Parish Council advising it of the site and encouraging a Housing Needs Survey.
I issued a Report to Middleton Parish Council of the Public Consultation Event recommending further investigation of some potential development sites.
I sent a copy of the Report to Curdworth Parish Council encouraging it to hold a similar Event to identify potential development sites for affordable housing.

The owners of a potential development site in Whitacre Heath advised me that they were not interested in selling.

In Stratford …

I delivered the 3,500 Housing Needs Survey forms to Southan Town Council.
The forms will be delivered to households in early June with a return date of 30 June 2009.
I attended the Public Consultation Event on the proposal for an affordable housing scheme in Harbury.
