Competitions provide a great way of highlighting the activities of dedicated volunteers and celebrating their successes. We see them as being an extension of our community development work, as they help encourage further activity and community spirit.

What do the villages themselves get out of it? Cash prizes are awarded that can be used to fund future community projects.

The Warwickshire Rural Community Council ran a brand new competition in 2008, which was open to entries from all communities in Warwickshire with a population of less than 5,000.  It is called Warwickshire's Best Village Competition 2008.
