I'm away (in Edinburgh) at the beginning of the week, returning on Friday to meet with volunteer, Les Holmes. Interviews lined up for the following week, include Mick Jerrard-Dinn who ran the dairy unit on the farm at Shawbury School. Susan Moore's book "Bare Bottoms and Stinging Nettles" covers the story of the school excellently, and I'm looking forward to hearing, first hand, about the farm.
The young Michael Jerrard-Dinn with Mr Farren's horse.Mick started out in farming at Mr Kelsey's at Fillongley, some of you will recognise the location of this photograph at the junction of Shawbury Lane, Mill Lane, Black Hall Lane and Broad Lane. Mick is pictured with a horse on loan from Mr Farren of Shawbury Farm
