My Farming Life - Living Memories of Farming Families in North Warwickshire

My Farming Life is our Heritage Lottery Funded living history project about farming in North Warwickshire.

We created a collection of 50 interviews, recording the memories of people who have been involved in agriculture in the North of the county. Stories are told of food production during the war years; childhood days in the farmyard; working with families and neighbours at harvest time; the change from horsepower to mechanisation; the Young Farmers Club; applying for farm tenancies; the impact of coal mining and road building.

A team of volunteers helped to make the recordings during 2009 and 2010, and copies of the interviews are on our website www.myfarminglife.org

Information is also available in the project leaflet or contact us .
