I received an email from Kingsbury Parish Council stating that any proposals for affordable housing in Piccadilly should “go through the proper channels”.
I wrote back to the Parish Council pointing out that undertaking a Housing Needs Survey is the first stage of the “proper channels” and offering to attend a meeting to explain the process in more detail.
I received an email from Fillongley Parish Council stating that it did not feel there was “an overwhelming need shown and also local opposition” for affordable housing for local people.
I wrote back to the Parish Council putting the situation in context and urging it to reconsider its position.
I received an email from Curdworth Parish Council stating that, “at the present point in time, it was felt that no further action should be taken and the Parish Council did not want to hold a consultation event” about affordable housing.
I replied expressing disappointment that the success of the Middleton Public Consultation Event had not convinced the Parish Council to engage in site canvassing.

I sent Shilton Parish Council a copy of comments from Warwickshire County Council and Rugby Borough Council about the Highways and Planning implications for some potential development sites for affordable housing and offered to attend a meeting to discuss the comments and the next steps.
I spoke to the Parish Clerk for Monks Kirby Parish Council and answered questions about undertaking a new Housing Needs Survey.

I spoke to the landowner of a possible development site for affordable housing in Bidford-on-Avon.
I made enquiries about progress on 3 allocated sites in Bidford-on-Avon that are expected to deliver affordable housing.
I also made enquiries about the results of utility searches on a potential development site in Broom.
I met Long Itchington Parish Council Housing Group with Warwickshire Rural Housing Association to discuss the draft layout drawings and relative merits of two potential sites for affordable housing.
I attended the “Start on Site” Ceremony for the affordable housing scheme in Shipston-on-Stour.
